Top New Vehicles in Toronto As Seen at the Canadian International AutoShow

As an automotive enthusiast, one of the most anticipated events of the year is the Canadian International AutoShow. Being an alumni of the Automotive Business School of Canada—and a former Lexus Canada team captain for the school’s student-run autoshow—the Toronto AutoShow is an exciting way to experience the latest and greatest in what the automotive industry has to offer. An annual visit to the show has been a tradition for years, with its multitude of activities that cater to everyone in the family, and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre offers welcome respite from the frigid February weather. The 2026 Rivian R2’s Canadian Debut

The electric vehicle manufacturer known for their futuristic pickup truck and SUV models, Rivian unveils their latest model at the Toronto International AutoShow. An all-electric compact crossover SUV, the 2026 Rivian R2 offers drivers up to 480 kilometres of all-electric driving range from its two available batteries. Uniquely Rivian in its distinctive styling, interior tech and adventure-ready features, the R2 is an EV that suits everyone from the urban professional to the weekend warrior alike. Starting at $66,500 for the Canadian market, expect to see R2s on the road early in 2026. 

Electrified Subaru Forester e-BOXER

Five-seater SUV practicality, Subaru’s legendary full-time symmetrical all-wheel drive system, and hybrid efficiency? Count me in! Under the hood of the all-new 2025 Subaru Forester e-BOXER is the brand’s tried and true 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer engine, paired with a self-charging mild hybrid system. The result is a reliable, go-anywhere, do-anything SUV that can easily go over 900 kilometres between fillups. With advancements like this, it’s no wonder that more and more Canadians are flocking over to the Subaru brand. 

Redesigned 2025 INFINITI QX80

The AutoShow didn’t just unveil new electrified vehicles, there were also a handful of exciting new gasoline models that made their Canadian debut. One of these is the redesigned 2025 INFINITI QX80, the Japanese automaker’s full-size luxury SUV offering. From its imposing size and striking LED exterior light array, to its opulent interior cabin and cutting-edge technology features, the QX80 is a physical representation of the pinnacle of the INFINITI brand.

INEOS Grenadier 4×4

If you long for the days of old-school 4×4 SUV capability and utilitarian design, then the 2025 INEOS Grenadier is right up your alley. An SUV that combines modern new vehicle amenities with classic 4×4 styling and the capability to match, the Grenadier is a vehicle in a league of its own. We visited the Dilawri booth at Level 300 of the MTCC to check out the 2025 INEOS Grendier Fieldmaster and Quartermaster Fieldmaster Editions.
